Warrabindah is a heritage home in Devonport, with a bold, modern extension sitting proudly behind it.
My role was the interior design, and the brief was to respect the old and celebrate the new. Original heritage features were restored and kept front and centre, while the interiors of the addition were allowed to be confidently contemporary. The joinery tells that story as you move through the house, shifting from traditional profiles in the heritage rooms to sleek fluted panels and woodgrains in the new.
The palette ties it together: dramatic black, earthy greens, warm oak and fresh whites, finished with stone, texture, pattern and layered lighting.
