Bar Urbane

Bar Urbane was designed to give Launceston something it didn't have: a hidden, speakeasy-style bar inspired by the Prohibition era, all moody jazz and discretion.

The brief was sophistication, moody elegance and exclusivity, and "too much" was never a consideration. Dark timber panelling, bold greens and warm cinnamon velvet banquettes are layered with brass, gilded mirrors, patterned wallpaper and low, dimmed lighting to create a sense of intimacy.
